4-H and FFA beef weigh-in set

The Perkins County 4-H market beef weigh-in is set for Saturday, Feb. 25 from 10-11 a.m. MT at Hendricks Farms and Saturday March 4 from 1-2 p.m. MT at Hanson’s. Participants may choose the location and time that works best, only one location needs to be attended. 

All Perkins County 4-H and FFA members planning to exhibit market heifers or market steers are invited to weigh in, tag and identify their projects at this time.

Any youth planning to exhibit at the Nebraska State Fair or Ak-Sar-Ben Livestock Exposition will also be required to collect hair samples for DNA purposes. There will be a handling fee for each animal identified to exhibit at these shows. Cost is to be determined.

Members who cannot make it to the market beef weigh-in in Perkins County need to make arrangements to tag and identify their animals.
