The Perkins County Chamber of Commerce meeting was held at the Perkins County Senior Center on Thursday, June 15 at noon. There were 16 members present.

Business Spotlight:
Grant Pharmacy

Grant Pharmacy, owned by Pharmacist Jason Burke for the last 10 years, is our Business Spotlight this month.

Working with Jason at Grant Pharmacy is Brittanie Ross, pharmacy tech, and Cheri Burke, clerk.

The pharmacy is great at helping our elderly with home deliveries and caring for the communities needs.

The pharmacy is open Monday-Friday 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and can be reached at 308-352-4511.

Community Focus:
Perkins County 4-H & Fair

Debbie Kuenning, Educator with the Perkins County Extension Office, and Patsy Kroeker with the Perkins County Fair Board, gave the Community Focus this month on 4-H and the fair.

Debbie is working on the 4-H activities again for this year’s fair, July 16-22. Some of these activities include the horse show, dog show, hogs and steers, and many other animals and 4-H projects that will be judged during fair.

The Perkins County 4-H Foundation, along with the 4-H Archery Club, will be serving the BBQ on July 22.

The 4-H schedule will be available online and on the Perkins County 4-H Facebook page.

Patsy said the Perkins County Fair Board is busy working on the handicap accessibility at the grandstands, which will be a great addition. Many activities are being planned by the fair board this year, including Farm Olympics, bounce houses, mini golf, bingo, ranch rodeo, Cooper Alan and Eli Young Band. Come enjoy this great event.

Community-Wide
Garage Sales

June 3 was the community-wide garage sales with 27 sales on the map. Many people  said they had good turnouts at their sales.
