Unique promotional opportunity offered to businesses

With the installation of a new ball field fence, the City of Grant hopes to attract area advertisers in purchasing banner advertisements to be displayed on the fence.

The project has a dual purpose, according to City Superintendent Ed Dunn.

One, to promote business entities offering products and services, and also to offer an esthetic solution to the not-so-attractive view of the dumpsters west of the field, by providing a barrier.

The banners will be 4’ by 8’ and of a mesh material that can withstand strong winds. They will be on display at the ball field from the end of May until the middle of July each year, and should last approximately four-five years.

There is an initial startup cost for the first year, and smaller annual fees for re-hanging in subsequent seasons, and also making replacement possible in the event of a disaster such as a tornado.

Businesses can have almost anything they choose printed on the banner, which will be created by Travis Faber of Faber Signs.

There is room for approximately 45 banners—with 20 available spots on the south field; 10 on the northwest and 15 on the northeast field.

The banners will have metal grommets and be secured with zip ties.

Anyone interested in purchasing a banner should contact Brittany Brott, City of Grant Park & Recreation Manager, at 308-352-6191 or email cog.parkandrec@gmail.com
