Our nation’s military heroes who gave their lives preserving freedom, those who have served their country in the Armed Forces, and those who are actively serving today were recognized during a Veterans Day program at Perkins County High School in Grant. Prior to gathering in the gym for an hour of observance, patrons lined Central Avenue to watch the color guard advance the flags toward the school, followed by the high school band and a float of elderly veterans.
