The first full day of class for students will be Monday, Aug. 18.
High school registration will be 9 a.m.- 3 p.m. Aug. 11-14 at Perkins County High School.
Updating lunch accounts can be done at each individual school and school officials said patrons can contact the front office of each school (elementary, middle and high).
Due to work on the electrical system relating to the new addition to the high school, it was decided to delay the school year from Aug.13 to Aug. 15.
During the weeks the power was out at the high school the superintendent’s office was moved to the Madrid facility. PCS Superintendent Phillip Picquet explained that the superintendent’s office will be back at the high school location the week of Aug. 11.
“This is a transition as we are beginning the building project,” Picquet said. “We want to start the school year the best way possible and this gives us the opportunity to do so.”
