|Building rush in county|
There is more than one major construction project going on currently in Perkins County with progress being made on them all. Above, it may not look like the artist’s rendition just yet, but the Henry J. Stumpf International Wheat Center is beginning to take shape just outside of Grant. The tentative plan for the site is to have the building complete by December of this year. The center will be a focal point for the University of Nebraska in regard to all aspects of the wheat industry. Right: A new sidewalk was poured last week leading into the business area of Perkins County Health Services. The construction of the new hospital at PCHS has moved forward since breaking ground on July 1. The hospital will feature a new emergency room. Over 28,884 square feet of new construction will be involved with the project.
