Coop annual meeting set PDF Print E-mail

Frenchman Valley Coop (FVC) is holding its annual meeting of the stockholders Aug. 26 at 10:30 a.m. at Broken Arrow Cellars in Imperial.
Customer Service Director  Leann Weiss said it should be a quick meeting, consisting of the annual report, a financial report, reading of last year’s meeting minutes and the election results for the board of directors.
The meeting should conclude by noon.
She said the time, different from the Saturday meetings in the past, was changed to see if attendance could be increased.
FVC Manager Doug Ohlson said FVC has made, and will continue to make, changes in regard to the timing and structure of patronage dividends, as well as the annual meeting time.
In early May, he said, annual patronage dividend checks—based on business conducted in FVC’s fiscal year 2014—were distributed, whereas they were distributed in late August in the past.
Estate claim checks were also distributed at that time.
“We simply decided to get those funds in the hands of our members sooner,” Ohlson said. He added that the aged equity retirement distribution will be determined at a later date.
The customer appreciation lunches held last winter throughout FVC’s trade territory will continue this winter, Ohlson said.
