Thirteen funny, clever, creepy pumpkins greet the public entering the Perkins County Health Services administrative area. Employees took part in a contest the week of Halloween and had the pumpkins judged by residents of Golden Ours Convalescent Home, Swaney Reed, Betty Peterson and Teri Ellis. Winning entry was from human resources/payroll employees Candace VanVelson and Shari VanBeber with the caption of, “An apple a day keeps the doctor away—a pop a day, he’s here to stay.” (Photos by Jan Rahn)
