Plainsmen wrestlers got their longest road trip out of the way early in the season with the Gordon/Rushville Invitational Saturday, Dec. 12. Meeting with 13 other teams, Perkins County finished in 12th place with 28 team points. Top team and pin tourney champ was Phillip, S.D., with a total of 182 points. Second place went to Mitchell with 123.50; third to Ainsworth with 119 points. Valentine (115.5) was fourth; Gordon-Rushville (109) fifth; Chadron (103) sixth; Bennet County, S.D. seventh; Sidney (68.5) eighth; Ogallala (45) ninth; Mullen (41.50) 10th; Pine Ridge, S.D.
