Kurkowski selected as Senior of the Month PDF Print E-mail

Kye Kurkowski has recently been selected as the Beta Sigma Phi December “Senior of the Month.”

Kurkowski, a student at Perkins County High School, is the son of Kelvin and Judy Kurkowski of rural Grant.

Kurkowski has been involved in many school organizations during his four years of high school including sports, music, and drama. He has been a participant in football, basketball and track all four years of high school and has participated in city league soccer.

He has been a member of band and chorus at Perkins County High School.

He has participated in one-act plays, musicals, spring plays and competitive speech.

Also, he has been active in student council, FFA and National Honor Society .

In community service, Kye has refereed for Great Plains Soccer and has coached recreational league basketball.

Kurkowski’s agricultural background and fascination with machinery figure into his post-graduation plans which include attending a university in the fields of agronomy and crop science or aeronautical engineering, possibly linking the two fields in his career choice.

For being selected as Senior of the Month, Kurkowski’s picture will hang in the lobby of Pinnacle Bank in Grant and he will be eligible for a scholarship awarded at the end of the school year.

The Student of the Month and scholarship program are sponsored jointly by Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and Pinnacle Bank in Grant.
