Three medals come home with Plainsmen wrestlers PDF Print E-mail

Perkins County wrestlers reached the mid-point in the 2009-2010 season with a tournament in Garden County on Saturday, Jan. 9. The team finished in the 10th place spot with 55 points in a field of 16 teams.

First place went to Maxwell with 149 points, second to Fleming with 118 points and third to Garden County with 110. Sutherland was fourth with 107; Southeast Goshen fifth with 101, Bridgeport sixth with 99.5; Sedgwick County seventh with 81; Hemingford eighth with 68; North Platte JV ninth with 68; Crawford 11th, 40; Banner County 12th, 35; Hyannis 13th, 34; Sioux County 14th, 28; Bayard 15th, 26; Minatare 16th, 0.

Three Plainsmen came away with medals: Kyle Schulze (130 lbs.) finished second; Austin Thelander (103 lbs.) third; and Vinny Ross (215 lbs.) third.
