|Radiologist at new Vancouver care center has Nebraska roots|
Dr. Jennifer Ochsner was recently hired as the breast imaging radiologist in a new Vancouver, Wash., breast care center. The clinic expects some 15,000 women to come through the center in its first year of operation. Nationally, one in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer.
Dr. Ochsner, the only breast imaging fellowship trained radiologist in Clark County, leads the center’s imaging team. She attended Boston University where she received her bachelor of science degree and her medical degree from the University of Cincinnati.
She completed her internship in internal medicine and residency in diagnostic radiology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She received her fellowship in breast imaging at the University of Washington under the mentorship of nationally renowned breast imager Connie Lehman, M.D., PhD.
Ochsner is married to Dr. Michael Gilbert and they have a two-year-old, Henry, and eight-month-old twins, Kate and Olivia.
She has relatives in Perkins, Keith, Lincoln and Chase counties. Her grandmother is Dolores Sides of Grant.
