Nebraska students in kindergarten through fifth grade are encouraged to show their creativity by entering the 2010 Nebraska Spirit Art Contest.
The contest, which is designed to promote Nebraska, is sponsored by Secretary of State John Gale and Nebraska.gov, the state’s Web site.
Entries for the contest will be accepted starting March 1 and must be postmarked by April 26. Contest details are available at www.nebraska.gov/contest.
The winners from each grade will have their work featured on a downloadable computer screen saver.
On June 4, a day of activities will be held in Lincoln for the winners and their families and teachers.
“The contest provides a great opportunity to tap the inspiration of our students in promoting our state,” Gale said.
