PCHSF to host annual event PDF Print E-mail

The Perkins County Health Services Foundation invites the public to enjoy its 22nd annual meeting and supper. The event–featuring free homemade soups, ice cream and cake–will be held March 16 at 5:30 p.m. at the Senior Center in Grant.

After the meal and brief reports, the audience will be entertained by the Cowboy Capital Chorus of Ogallala. This chorus is directed by Susan Kelton of Ogallala and includes 25 singers.

Local members include Leon Regier, Tobe Hansen and Tim Colglazier all of Grant; Dennis Watkins and Larry Walters of Venango; and Kevin Armknecht of Ogallala.

Administrator Ron Patrick said the meeting will be a big celebration because in 2009 the foundation granted $163,772.96 to local health care. The annual report to be distributed will describe these grants.

It also will recognize 167 donors who supported the foundation in 2009 with contributions of $219,532.46.

Designed to be quick-moving, the event is planned to conclude at 8 p.m.
