|Vlasin to be inducted in Colorado|
Madrid native Ron Vlasin will be inducted into the 47th Colorado High School Coaches Association Hall of Fame. The event will take place on Saturday, March 27 at the Red Lion Hotel in Aurora, Colo. Vlasin will be one of five coaches inducted.
After his graduation from Madrid High School in 1961, Vlasin played professional baseball. He began his teaching and coaching career in Merino and later in Littleton and Araphoe in the Denver metroplex. He coached nine state champions and compiled a record of 546-165 over his 30 year career.
He is the brother of Connie McClenahan of Grant and Larry Vlasin of McCook, Neb.
