|Nominations sought for 2010 Nebraska Father of Year|
Christian Heritage is now accepting nominations for the 2010 Nebraska Father of the Year Award, which will be presented at a “Celebration of Fatherhood” luncheon to be held at Embassy Suites in Lincoln on June 17. Either adults or youth may make nominations.
The purpose of the award is to recognize outstanding Nebraska fathers, to promote fatherhood, and to encourage the involvement of fathers in the lives of their children. The winner will be selected by the 2010 Nebraska Father of the Year Council, comprised of members from around the state.
Nominee must be a current Nebraska resident who is or has been actively involved in raising children.
Nomination must include an essay that includes specific examples of how the nominee demonstrates positive traits such as spiritual commitment, patience, integrity, compassion, sacrificial love for his family, and/or character in difficult circumstances.
Essay must not exceed 500 words.
Nomination must be received on or before April 30.
