Wallace to send seven competitors to state meet PDF Print E-mail

On Thursday, May 13, Wallace competed in the D10 District track meet at Sutherland.  Teams involved in the district included Anselmo-Merna (A/M), Arnold, Arthur Co., Brady, Callaway, Mullen, Paxton, Stapleton/McPherson Co. (SMC), Sandhills/Thedford (S/T), and Wallace.

The meet was postponed one day due to Wednesday’s forecast. Thursday ended up being as nice a day for a meet as one could expect for this year’s track season.

Several of the Wildcats took advantage of the day and set new personal bests, a new school record, and some even qualified for the state meet in Omaha.

Of the 18 athletes who completed the season, six are going to state.  Those athletes and their events include: Josi Hasenauer–3200; Laura O’Brien –triple jump; Sean May–100, 200, 400, 400 Meter relay; Shawn Christensen–shot put, 400 meter relay; Ryan Sowle–400 meter relay; Lane Swedberg–400 meter relay.
