In early May the Perkins  County FFA Chapter held a Bingo night for the residents at Westview.

The night started out with a potluck for the residents with food brought in by members of the FFA. Games of bingo were then played with prizes given out to the winners.

The “last day of school” party was moved from the ballpark to the school due to weather, but still had good attendance, including incoming freshmen who have interest in joining the Chapter this year. There is a projected number of over 10 students wanting to join!

The FFA officer team recently attended the COLT (Chapter Officer Leadership Training) conference in Aurora, Neb.

The 2010-2011 officer team includes: Jeremy Hagan, president; Ashley Kemling, vice president; Taylor Boldt, secretary; Seth Burge, treasurer; Michael York, sentinel; Katie Rowley, reporter; and Jessi Hoffert, parliamentarian.

The Chapter has many events scheduled for the summer, including 4th of July activities as well as fair activities.

The community is invited to come support the local chapter.
