|Tribune loses employee to terminal illness|
Former Tribune-Sentinel employee Colleen Benge, 57, passed away Saturday, June 12, after battling cancer for nearly 10 months.
She began employment at the Tribune in January 2001.
Her duties included retrieving internet correspondence, web site operation, and newspaper production.
Colleen grew up on a farm in Perkins County. She attended grade school in Elsie and graduated with the Wallace High School class of 1970. She then attended cosmetology school in North Platte.
She is survived by her husband Don, three grown children, seven grandchildren, her parents, one sister, two brothers, and her mother-in-law.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 15 at the Grant First Congregational Church.
