Property owners have until June 30 to protest valuation PDF Print E-mail

Protests must be filed with the Perkins County Clerk’s Office and will be reviewed by the County Board of Equalization.

The deadline for property owners to file a protest concerning recent notices on the 2010 level of value is only two weeks away.

By June 30, valuation protests must be filed with the Perkins County Clerk’s Office. 

Letters on valuation changes were mailed May 28 by Perkins County Assessor Bonnie Appel—well ahead of the June 1 deadline required by the state.

All types of agriculture land increased, said Appel, including dryland, irrigated land and grassland.
