Hand specialist coming to PCHS monthly PDF Print E-mail

New hand specialist, Scott Carroll, D.O., began duties at Perkins County Health Services on Friday, June 18.

Dr. Carroll will be seeing patients in the specialty clinic at the hospital on the third Friday of each month.

He holds board certification from the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners and the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery. He is board certified in thoracic and cardiovascular surgery as well as general surgery.

Born in Chicago, Dr. Carroll grew up south of Paxton, and graduated from Paxton Consolidated High School prior to serving in the U.S. Air Force from 1978-82. 

Upon honorable discharge from the Air Force where he served as an operating room technician, experiencing all aspects of surgical procedures along with being responsible for training of graduate technicians, Dr. Carroll pursued his education at the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
