|Nebraska’s parks among nation’s best|
LINCOLN (AP) — ReserveAmerica says three of the nation’s top 100 family campgrounds are in Nebraska.
Eugene T. Mahoney, Fort Robinson and Ponca state parks are ranked third, seventh and 25th, respectively, on the annual list.
ReserveAmerica is a recreation reservation service and handles Nebraska park reservations through the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission website, OutdoorNebraska.org.
ReserveAmerica also listed Lake McConaughy State Recreation Area as the No. 1 fishing spot.
Fort Robinson State Park ranked No. 3 on the list of kid-friendly parks.
The parks commission says the top 100 family campgrounds list was based on testimonials, campground ratings and feedback from campers, park rangers and regional park managers.
