|Emergency brings Black Hawk down at Grant Municipal Airport|
By Jan Rahn
An emergency landing brought three Fort Drum soldiers to the runway at Grant Municipal Airport on June 22.
The active duty U.S. Army personnel on board were returning to New York from Vail, Colo.,where they had attended high altitude flying school—training to go to Afghanistan, perhaps this fall.
Upon approach, the Grant Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to the airport. However, the call was cancelled once the UH60L Black Hawk safely landed.
