Cochran to lead fair parade PDF Print E-mail

Local resident Ron Cochran said it’s the people that he loves most about Grant and Perkins County.

“People see me coming down the street and they walk down the other side,” Cochran said with a smile. “They think I’ll ask for money.”

Cochran has worked hard at many fundraisers for the community and has raised thousands of dollars. Even though people joke about walking down the other side of the street, he said, he hardly ever has a person refuse to make a donation.

“People are so special in this county,” Cochran said. “I especially like all the support I get from the community.”

And it’s his hard work, dedication and time that he puts into fundraising projects that is being recognized by the community.

Cochran has been selected by Perkins County Chamber to serve as the Grand Marshal in the 2010 Fair Parade on Saturday at 10 a.m. Riding with him will be his wife Jean.
