|Hemophilia Walk to be held Aug. 28|
Over 300 Nebraskans are affected by bleeding and clotting disorders. Although improvements in care and advancements in therapies are allowing people with hemophilia and other serious bleeding and clotting disorders to live better, fuller lives, there is still more work to be done.
A fundraiser will be held on Aug. 28 to help raise money for crucial research to find better treatments and cures for bleeding and clotting disorders. Over 500 Nebraskans are expected to join together for a walk at the fund raiser held at Lake Zorinsky in Omaha.
The funding will promote education and advocacy to help prevent complication for patients. Nebraska Hemophilia Walk is one of a series of Hemophilia Walks taking place across the country this year.
