|Kiolbasa selected for Jackman scholarship|
Emily Kiolbasa, a senior at Perkins County High School, has been selected to receive the Marjorie Jackman Scholarship.
The scholarship, in the amount of $150, is awarded to seniors who have shown an outstanding commitment to community service.
Students apply for the scholarship in their junior year, and are chosen by the Perkins County Schools Foundation Scholarship Committee.
The scholarship is presented by Rod Cornelius, president of the foundation, on the first day of school at an assembly attended by the student body.
In addition, Kiolbasa’s name will be added to a plaque of Jackman Scholarship award winners in the high school’s hall of fame.
