|Cause of McCook Coop fire determined|
The State Fire Marshal’s Office worked with local officials and utilization of some heavy equipment to determine the cause of a storage/maintenance shop fire involving the 125 foot by 250 foot building at Frenchman Valley Coop’s Perry location west of McCook on Thursday, Aug. 26.
At approximately 1:45 p.m. Fire Marshals had determined the cause of the fire to be an electrical short that occurred in a straight truck after it was parked in the building around 5 p.m. that afternoon.
