Lady Cats take two at Trenton PDF Print E-mail

The Wallace Wildcats competed in the Hitchcock County Triangular on Tuesday, Sept. 7.

The Cats first opponent was the Plainsmen of Perkins County. The Cats won their first match in straight sets 25-15, 25-23.

The Lady Cats won the first set, but the Plainsmen rallied back with the help of some great serving in the second to really push the Wildcats.  Although the Wildcats played with intensity, the Lady Cats seemed to be lacking in communication.

The Wildcats made some good plays, but really seemed to struggle to build any momentum.

When asked about the match, coach Rohde said, “The girls played pretty well at times.  We had some really nice plays, but never did get into a rhythm.”  He added, “Perkins County played really tough tonight.”
