|ACT Test Prep seminar set for Oct. 9 at NPCC|
Area high school students will have the opportunity to prepare for the upcoming ACT test by attending an ACT test preparation seminar from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 9, at North Platte Community College.
The seminar will include a two-hour mathematics review that will cover selected topics including elementary algebra, geometry, trigonometry and problem solving skills. It will also include an English session that will feature a review of grammar, usage, punctuation, and test taking tips.
The math session will be presented by Roger Volentine, NPCC math instructor, and the English session will be presented by Helen Ann Mesmer, an English instructor at the college.
The seminar will include lunch, handouts and up-to-date instructions regarding the upcoming ACT tests. Registration fee is $20. Interested students must pre-register by calling the Mid-Plains Center for Enterprise Office at (308) 535-3714.
