The Lady Plainsmen finished on top at their latest triangular against Hershey and Dundy County held Tuesday, Oct. 12.
In the Dundy County match, the Lady Plainsmen were sluggish at the onset and lost 22-25. Regaining their composure, they finished off the next two sets winning 25-20 and 25-16.
“We were slow getting started,” said Coach Penny Hite. “We gained momentum in the second set.
The intensity level was not quite where it should be and serves were inconsistent, however, serve receive was good, said Hite.

PC vs. Hershey
In an intense match against a scrappy Hershey team, Perkins County overcame and won in three sets, 20-25, 28-26 and 25-22.
Hershey’s Dayleen Miller proved to be a major obstacle for the Lady Plainsmen, making them work for their victory.
“Tonight was about playing to the end, never giving up even when we were down,” said Coach Penny Hite. “We needed tonight to get ready for SPVA.”
It was a very good game to be at and coach, she added.
