It’s time to start thinking about the holidays, and Perkins County Chamber would like to invite the entire region to their annual open house kickoff and celebration set for Thursday, Nov. 18 in Grant.
The spirit-filled evening begins at 5 p.m. There will be food, shopping, giveaways, and more until the event wraps up at 8 p.m.
This year’s Chamber Christmas open house theme is, “Christmas in Grant—Tied Up With Bows.”
Many retailers, eateries, organizations and individuals will be participating, with bargains, food, giveaways and crafts available for shoppers.
New to this year’s event will be a turkey-giveaway. Five lucky winners will take home a turkey for the holidays.
An entry ticket will be given to shoppers who purchase something from Chamber retailers during the night, and the drawing will be held at 7:30 p.m. sharp at the empty lot between Grant Floral and Deaver Computer.
Winners must be present and must have purchased something in order to have the matching ticket half entered in the drawing.
Other giveaways will also take place at the same time, same place as the evening winds down.
Also new this year is an open house at the Grant Volunteer Fire Department for people to stop in for treats, information, or tour of the department.
Santa’s presence will draw children to The Barber Pole for a visit upon his knee and the opportunity to purchase a professional photo for a small fee from Alee Photography who will print the photos on the premises.
Vendors who are not Chamber members will be charged a $10 fee to set up in one of the businesses or banks.
During the night, each shopper has the option to fill out an entry form for the annual Chamber Greenbacks drawings held each Saturday in December prior to Christmas.
The drawings will be held at Hatch’s Super Foods at 10 a.m. on Dec. 4, 11 and 18, with names of several lucky winners called. See the adjacent rules for the Chamber Greenbacks giveaway.
