Christmas kicks off in Grant tonight Nov. 18 PDF Print E-mail

It will seem like the holiday season when it gets dark tonight (Nov. 18). Merchants, vendors and shoppers will kick off the annual Christmas event.

Decorations are up and each participating Chamber business will remain open till 8 p.m.


There will be food fundraisers at the senior center and Grant Auto Parts. The bakery will offer fried ice cream, and several other businesses will give out snacks and treats. Hot drinks will be given away along the sidewalk or inside Chamber businesses. Other eateries will remain open as well.

Special Happenings

Santa will greet children at The Barber Pole from 5:30-7 p.m. with Alee Photography on hand for photos.

Kids can skate from 6-8 with free admittance for bringing two non-perishable items for the food pantry.

The Perkins County Museum, Hastings Memorial Library and Meadowlark Gallery will be open. The museum will feature its restoration, story time will take place at the library from 5:30-6 p.m., and the gallery is hosting a silent auction for painted chairs.
