|Grant blood drive has great turnout|
The Nov. 3 Grant Blood Drive had an overwhelming turnout and ended the day five units over the 58 unit goal.
The Red Cross appreciates those who took time to donate. There were six first-time donors: Don Hamm, Mark Cunningham, Calvin Dahlkoetter, Jeffrey Dilsaver, Dennis Miyamoto and Troy Erlewine.
Leland Thomas earned his five-gallon pin; Robert Brodbeck and Chase Sauder, two-gallon pins; Peggy Haenfler and Larry Umberger, one-gallon pins.
Larry Umberger and Lisa Boehs were the winners of turkeys donated by Hatch’s.
Grant Rotary provided lunch and the National Honor Society students provided cookies and servers for the day.
Volunteers who helped make the blood drive a success were: Ellen Gillett, Marilyn Holscher, Mary Kent, Rosie Barry, Carolyn McArtor, Pat Schroeder, Karon Pankonin, Betty Larsen, Sandy Glenn, Jerry McArtor, Gary Talich, Ted Tietjen and Leland Thomas.
