On Thursday night, Dec. 16 the Lady Cats traveled to face the Sutherland Sailors. Both teams were ready to play, it proved to be a battle of the defenses, neither team letting the other gain any momentum.

At the end of the first quarter the Wildcats led by just two.

The second quarter saw the Sailors with a renewed ambition, but the Lady Cats hung tough. The Lady Cats outscored the Sailors by just one point, and they headed into the locker room with the lead, 22 to 19.

The Cats started the second half energized, and ready to play. The defense played tough, and the shots were falling. The Wildcats were able to gain six more points than their opponents, lengthening the lead to 40 to 31.
