Already an active member of her community, Mary Dodson’s most recent contribution is to serve as a new member on the Perkins County Health Services Foundation Board.
Dodson was appointed by the Perkins County Commissioners to replace Roxie Lampmann whose role has ended due to term limits.
Dodson resides in Venango. Her husband, Mike Dodson, farms in that area and runs Dodson Motors in Venango.
Their son, Nathaniel, helps with the family business. Their daughter, Adrienne Turner, is the director of Radiology at Perkins County Health Services.
Members of the Dodson family have had positive experiences as patients in various aspects of health care in the last few years.
“This area is very lucky to have high quality health care, and everyone should do all they can to maintain that care,” said Dodson.
As a retired teacher who served in the county’s public schools for 32 years, Dodson continues to serve as a private tutor, a speech judge and a substitute teacher.
She has a passion for writing and is working on her second book for publication.
She is active in her church, enjoys music, gardening, helping with the family business, and above all spending time with her four grandchildren who also occupy her busy schedule.
