Wallace inducts four new members to NHS PDF Print E-mail

Wallace High School

Some people strive to make  the varsity sport teams; others like to sign up for different clubs or organizations. It’s a good feeling to get good grades as well.
Getting recognition for having good grades isn’t a big thing in many schools, but at Wallace, National Honor Society is a big thing. It’s a huge honor to get inducted into this
elite society.
However, National Honor Society is more than just an honor roll. The Honor Society establishes rules for membership that are based upon a student’s outstanding performance in the areas of scholarship, service, leadership, and character.
These criteria for selection form the foundation upon which the organization and its activities are built.
These characteristics have also been associated with membership in the organization since their beginnings in 1921 and 1929. “To create enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote leadership and to develop character in the students of secondary schools.” (From the NHS Constitution)
