Kay to assist coaching All-Star Football Game PDF Print E-mail

The coaches have been selected for the 2011 West Nebraska All-star Football Game. This marks the 34th year for the game.

The game will be played Saturday, June 4 at Bearcat Stadium in Scottsbluff, at 7 p.m. MDT.
Travis Hawk from Alliance High School will lead the west team. Hawk’s team finished this past season with a 4-5 record. This is Coach Hawk’s second time serving as coach for the west team. He has previously served as an assistant coach in 2008.
The west assistant coaches are Joe Benson from Scottsbluff High School, Chip Kay from Perkins County High School and JC Stroup from Dundy County-Stratton High School.
Nathan Liess from Sutherland High School will lead the East team this year. This past season Liess led Sutherland to an overall record of 1-7. This will be Coach Liess’ second time as a coach in the West Nebraska All-star Game. He served as an assisant coach for the East team in 2009.
The East assistant coaches are Jarod Albers from Hitchcock County High School, Brad Dunlap from Eustis-Farnam High School and Craig Schmeckpeper from Valentine High School.
A portion of the proceeds from the games benefit the Scotts Bluff County Volunteer Center.
