Stacey Manary, a 1995 Grant High School graduate and Buckle Inc. employee in Kearney, was among the inductees of the Annual Merchants Hall of Fame and featured in an article in a fashion trade publication, Accessories magazine.
The inductees, nominated by vendors and merchants in the fashion industry, represent top retail professionals in the business. They are being honored for such attributes as business sense, innovation, sense of fashion direction and strategic thinking.
Manary began her career at Buckle Inc. as a college student in 1995 and took a full-time position in 1999 when she graduated from the University of Nebraska-Kearney.
The article in Accessories is in a question-and-answer format, outlining Manary’s biography, work philosophy, challenges, inspiration and hobbies.
One question was, “What would surprise people to know about you?” to which she answered, “That I grew up on a farm outside the small community of Grant, Nebraska.”
Manary is the daughter of Jim and Sandy Glenn of Grant. She is married to Matt, and the couple has two children, 10-year-old daughter Carsyn, and a son, Easton, six.
