Pelster chosen as May Senior of the Month PDF Print E-mail

Alek Pelster, a senior at Perkins County High School, has been selected as May 2011 Senior of the Month.
Pelster has been involved in football, basketball, and held the class office of treasurer.
He was a crew member and actor in the spring play, Talent-Tastic and a crew member for a musical.
He was a member of National Honor Society, and participated in scholastics at Chadron.
For community service, Pelster has helped paint the Madrid hall, timed and picked races at track meets, helped raise money for Relay for Life.
He has been active in 4-H, Catholic Youth Organization and attended Cornhuskers Boys State.
Pelster has been employed at the family farm, chiseling and disking fields.
After graduation, he plans to attend the University of Nebraska Lincoln, with a possible major in physical therapy. An injury he suffered and received physical therapy for has inspired him to help others recover from injuries as well.
Pelster has lived in Perkins County all his life and appreciates life in a small community. He feels the values he learned here are important to being successful.
For being selected Senior of the Month, Pelster’s picture will hang in the lobby of Pinnacle Bank in Grant and he will be eligible for a scholarship awarded at the end of the school year.
The Student of the Month and scholarship program are sponsored by Pinnacle Bank of Grant and members of the community.
