Perkins County golfers are making a great showing on the course this season—despite weather being a factor in causing postponements.
Plainsmen golfers won the Hershey Invite, their own invite, placed in the top five at Garden County, and placed second at the SPVA meet in Imperial—which was held in conjunction with the Chase County Invite due to blizzard postponement. They travelled to Creek Valley Tuesday.

St. Pat’s took the top spot with a score of 346 at the SPVA tourney and the Longhorn golf invite on Friday, April 29 in Imperial, with Perkins County coming in second with a score of 352.
Jeremy Hagan took first with 83. Other Perkins County golfers, Alex Johnston (89),  Austin Thelander (90), Ben Ross (90) and Zac White (90) came in seventh, eighth, ninth and tenth, respectively.
Other competitors included golfers from Chase County, third, 373; Hershey, fourth, 385; and Sutherland, fifth, 425.
Garden County Results
Perkins County scored 377 for a fifth place finish in the Garden County golf meet Tuesday, April 26.
Ogallala JV won the meet with a score of 364.
In the top 10 medalists, eighth place went to Blake Poppe (89), and ninth place went to Trevor Lee (90).
Individually, Jarod Jaeger of Ogallala JV scored 78 for first place.

Hershey Invite
The Plainsmen claimed the title in Hershey on April 14 by a 44-stroke lead, setting the tone for the boys to continue to do well as they complete the season and head toward districts.
Ben Ross and Jeremy Hagan tied for first during the Hershey Invite, both shooting an 84.
Other Plainsmen medalists were fourth place Austin Thelander (87), fifth place Alex Johnston (88) and seventh place Zac White (90).
