Fundraising for fireworks  has gotten off to a slow start, but the annual display on July 4th promises to have more splendor than ever.
Donations are being accepted at any bank in Perkins County, or at The Barber Pole in Grant.
Names and donors and the size of the shell their donation will purchase is being published for the next few weeks leading up to and beyond the all-day celebration.
Several events will be held in the park throughout the day with the fireworks display taking place at the fairgrounds in the evening.

Five-inch-shell: Bernard and Darlene Kuskie, Delores Swan.
Multi-shot box: Meghan, Myles and Lauren Bishop.
