Greenwood receives SkillsUSA Award PDF Print E-mail

Matthew Greenwood of Grant was among 52 Nebraska students receiving national SkillsUSA awards during competition June 20-24 in Kansas City, Mo.
Greenwood, a student at Mid-Plains Community College, North Platte, received 10th place in college/technical plumbing.
Overall, 205 students and advisors from Nebraska attended the 47th National Leadership and Skills Conference, sponsored by SkillsUSA.
More than 5,700 students from 52 states and territories competed in 94 occupational and leadership skill areas. SkillsUSA programs help to establish industry standards for job skill training in the classroom.
SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers and industry representatives working together to ensure America has a skilled workforce and to help each student excel.
SkillsUSA is a national student organization that serves trade, industrial, technical and health occupation students in high schools and college/technical schools. It provides quality education experiences for students in leadership, teamwork, citizenship and character development.
