Come prepared to have a “Wild and Wacky” time at the Perkins County Fair scheduled for July 24-30.
Some changes have been made from the previous years, a new competition has been added, and the week kicks off on a Sunday rather than Monday with a demolition derby.
The lineup of activities throughout the week will surely provide entertainment for all age groups.
New to the fair is a “Bird House Painting Contest” that replaces the cookie jar decorating competition from the past.
Participants can get busy and be creative, then have their entry in to the extension office by noon on Wednesday, July 27.
Besides all of the fun events and shows for 4-H’ers, activities range from mechanical bull riding and inflatable carnival to mud volleyball and tractor pedal pull. Don’t forget the free pancake feed, Farm Olympics and parade.
