The public is invited to hear local elected officials and current representatives speak at the Indian Summer Rendezvous in Ogallala on Sept. 15.
“Celebrating our Freedoms” will open with prayer at 11 a.m. under the Big Tent in downtown Ogallala.
Those in attendance will be able to hear from elected officials and those running for the Senate seat in 2012, as well as recognition of the military.
Representatives will be given five to six minutes of speaking time from a public stage. Following the speakers will be a chili cookoff where participants can enjoy lunch and visit one-on-one with the representatives.
The event, sponsored by the Nebraska Citizen’s Caucus, will conclude at 1 p.m.
