Nebraska Game and Parks warns about rural road safety PDF Print E-mail

LINCOLN (AP) — The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission is reminding hunters to drive the state’s rural roads with care.
The commission issued a statement warning that tall corn can hamper visibility at intersections. Officials say drivers can expect to encounter farm and ranch vehicles on the roads, and should slow down when meeting them.
The commission also reminds hunters that it’s unlawful to shoot from a public highway, road, or bridge, including on the shoulders. Landowner permission is required to hunt on private land.
