|Grates added as trees replaced|
City employees (l-r) Jarrod Williams and Gary Beckler assist City Superintendent Tyson McGreer in putting a grate in place where a new tree from a Nebraska grower will be planted along Central Avenue in Grant. Four trees were planted Sept. 16. Others will be replaced as needed. The new maples, slangily called “hotwings” have bright red helicopter-shaped wings in the fall. Attractive grates placed around the trunks are made of recycled material from a company in Michigan.
