Mealtime Makeovers...A classic at home PDF Print E-mail

As winter approaches, I start to miss summer evenings by the campfire roasting marshmallows. Even though we only got the ol’ camper out one time this year, that is one thing I always miss.
Now, I realize that this awkward October heat doesn’t exactly make it seem like winter is nearing, but we all know what mother nature has in store for us sooner than later.
This little snack is a quick way to enjoy s’mores without the mess and hassle of a campfire. Try it out for yourself! It is a great one for parties. Maybe if I make these this winter, my husband will decide we need a fire pit in the back yard? It’s worth a shot don’t you think?

Easy S’mores

12 round buttery crackers (such as Ritz)
12 milk chocolate kisses
6 large marshmallows, cut in half
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Place crackers on a baking sheet and top each cracker with one kiss and one marshmallow half, cut side down.
Bake for 8 minutes or until marshmallow begins to melt. Remove to a wire rack and let cool for five minutes. The marshmallow will still be warm after cooling time so be careful.
