Mary Lou Alexander of Denver will be the featured speaker at the Magnificat brunch hosted by the Ogallala Chapter, Our Lady of the Harvest, on Saturday, Oct. 22, at Ogallala, at 9 a.m. MT. The brunch will be served at Valentino’s, 55 East River Road, off the I-80 Exit.
Mary Lou’s topic, “They Did What?” Adventures of a Family of 10”, will provoke laughter and tears as she shares her life experiences rearing eight children.
Today, Mary Lou’s children range in age from 47-56. Wendell, her husband, whom she met on a blind date, died in 1997. They were married for 43 years and three years after his death, she wrote and received a copyright for the music (in an upbeat-swing rendition) of the “Serenity Prayer.”
