Beck chosen as October Senior of the Month PDF Print E-mail

Kristin Beck, a senior at Perkins County High School has been selected as the October 2011 Senior of the Month.
She is the daughter of Doug and Janet Beck of Grant.
Beck has demonstrated her leadership through many activities while at PCHS.
Some of the activities she has participated in include cheerleading, FCCLA, volleyball, basketball and track, band, chorus, speech and drama.
She has been a member of National Honor Society and student council and has held the class office of secretary.
She has served the community by singing at Westview and Golden Ours, serving at various dinners, coaching youth sports and decorating at the Catholic church.
She has been employed by the City of Grant as a lifeguard and Grant Floral.
After graduation, Beck plans to attend the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, taking general studies before making a career choice. She has special interests in psychology and photography.
Beck said she feels blessed for growing up in a supportive and caring community that has encouraged her and helped prepare her for the future.
For being selected Senior of the Month, Beck’s picture will hang in the lobby of Pinnacle Bank in Grant and she will be eligible for a scholarship awarded at the end of the school year.
The Student of the Month and scholarship program are sponsored by Pinnacle Bank of Grant and members of the community.
