125th items go on sale at Christmas open house
By Jan Rahn
The publications everyone has been waiting for are in and will be available for sale during Perkins County Chamber’s Christmas open house event on Thursday, Nov. 17.
A compilation of recipes from cooks all over the county and beyond are available in the 125th anniversary cookbook, and a new calendar with photos from around the county will serve as a monthly reminder of the 125th year of Perkins County.
Other collectible items for sale to raise funds for the upcoming 125th celebration in 2012 include salt and pepper shaker sets, pocket knives, Christmas ornaments, sun catchers, pie plates, crockery mugs, t-shirts and sweatshirts carrying the anniversary logo.
A mantel clock and lap quilt will be given away, so be sure to purchase a ticket for a chance at winning these special items.
The members of the Perkins County 125th Anniversary Committee have been working very hard to promote the celebration—be sure to take advantage of purchasing something special for someone special for the holidays in support of the county’s upcoming celebration.
Following the open house event, cookbooks will remain on sale at City Hall and Country Supply in Grant.
Members of the committee include Chris Loeffler-chair, Ronda Lawyer, Brenda Styskal, Becky Dahlkoetter, Jessie Faber and Linda Heitman.
